Production Team Leader (m/f)

Location: Ovar
Contract: Permanent
Work schedule: Continuous rotating shifts

We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our industrial team in Ovar.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the production operation during the assigned shift. We are looking for someone comfortable working close to the process, leading people, making decisions and solving problems in a continuous manufacturing environment.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the production team;
• Ensure execution of the production plan;
• Allocate tasks and operational priorities;
• Monitor production and key KPIs;
• Act on process and performance deviations;
• Ensure productivity, quality and safety targets;
• Support troubleshooting and operational problem-solving;
• Ensure compliance with procedures and work instructions;
• Identify breakdowns and maintenance needs;
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance and Logistics;
• Ensure an effective shift handover;
• Participate in root cause analysis;
• Support corrective and preventive actions;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives;
• Develop, support and onboard team members;
• Promote accountability and a solution-oriented culture.

Your profile

• Degree or technical qualification in Engineering, Industrial Management, Production or related field, or equivalent industrial experience;
• Previous experience in industrial production is valued;
• Team leadership experience is highly valued;
• Experience in continuous manufacturing or process industries is valued;
• Experience in plastics, polymers, extrusion, converting, films or nonwovens is a plus;
• Strong leadership and communication skills;
• Good decision-making and problem-solving ability;
• Strong organization and prioritization skills;
• Results-oriented and accountable;
• Comfortable with production data and digital systems;
• Good computer skills.

Working schedule

Continuous rotating shifts:

• 00:00 – 08:00
• 08:00 – 16:00
• 16:00 – 00:00

Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays according to the shift schedule is required.
